Fujian Communications Administration officially announced the operation results of the basic telecommunications in Fujian Province from January to September. As of the end of September, Fujian Province had 385,000 mobile phone base stations, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%, including 211,000 4G base stations and 71,000 5G base stations.
As of the end of September, Fujian Province had 36.882 million fixed broadband access ports, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%, including 34.093 million optical fiber access (FTTH/O) ports, accounting for 92.4%. The number of 10G PON ports with gigabit network service capability reached 385,000, an increase of 105,000 over the end of the previous year.
From January to September, the time of fixed-line telephone calls in Fujian Province reached 2.52 billion minutes, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%; the time of outgoing calls from mobile phones reached 55.94 billion minutes, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%; mobile SMS service volume reached 89.6 billion, a year-on-year increase 12.1%.
From January to September, the mobile Internet access traffic in Fujian Province reached 5.18 billion G, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%. The dataflow of usage (DOU) in September reached 13.9G, an increase of 0.9G over the same period of the previous year by 7.2%.
