China Mobile disclosed its 2020 interim performance report. In January-June 2020, China Mobile realized operating revenue of CNY 389.9 billion, up 0.1%. Its revenue from communication services rose 1.9% to CNY 358.2 billion; its profit attributable to shareholders dropped 0.5% to CNY 55.8 billion.
The report shows that by the end of June 2020, mobile subscribers hit 947 million, including 760 million 4G subscribers and 70.2 million 5G plan subscribers. So presumably this year's 5G plan subscriber headcount is planned to exceed 100 million net.
At yesterday's press conference on performance, China Mobile said that all of its 5G subscribers are high-end subscribers, whose ARPU is several multiples of that of 4G subscribers.
