MIIT: Monthly Fraud Call Dropped 56.3% in Q1

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology yesterday reported the telecommunication service quality in the first quarter of 2020. According to the data, in the first quarter, the appeal agencies accepted 36,454 complaints from telecommunication users, a 26.7% month-on-month down. Among them, 26.0% are related to expense, 2.3% up on a month-on-month basis; 59.9% of the complaints are related to user services, 1.0% down on a monthly basis; 14.1% of the complaints are related to network quality, a 1.3 % down on a monthly basis.

In Q1 of this year, 12321 Complaint Center for Malicious Information and Spam reported 100,028 complaints about crank calls, a 39.9% monthly decrease. A total of 58,268 complaints from about spams, a 43.4% month-on-month down. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has urged relevant telecommunication enterprises to check and handle the above complaints.
