Twelve departments including the state Internet Information Office, the national Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC jointly formulated the Network Security Review Measures.
According to the Measures, if key information infrastructure operators purchase network products and services, which affect or may affect national security, they shall conduct network security review in accordance with these measures. The network security review adheres to the combination of preventing network security risks and promoting the application of advanced technology, the combination of process fairness and transparency and intellectual property protection, the combination of prior review and continuous supervision, the combination of enterprise commitment and social supervision, and the review from the aspects of product and services security and possible national security risks.
The Measures will be implemented from June 1 this year.
