China was Searching to Introduce Large Communication Tariff Concessions to Poor Households

Recently, Wen Ku, director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the MIIT, said that he would strive to raise the coverage of 4G network from the current 95% to 98% by 2020 at the press conference.

In addition, Wen Ku said, “We were improving the universal service especially the development of broadband networks in remote areas, paying special attention to the popularization of broadband networks and encouraging basic telecommunications companies to introduce preferential tariffs to poor areas and impoverished people. We were searching large communication tariffs concessions for poor households who have filed cards throughout the country to ease their financial burden on the use of the network currently."
